Subscription medal for the work "Victories and conquests of the French, 1792-1815", by Barre in bronze, attributed to General Dautancourt, on the obverse, a winged victory perched on a quadriga sowing laurel wreaths above a map of Europe, on the reverse, in a wreath of oak and laurel, a legend dedicated to the subscribers of the work published by C.L.F. Panckoucke in 1820, attribution finely engraved on the edge "LE BON DAUTANCOURT (PIERRE) ANCIN GENL MAJOR DES POLIS (star of the Legion of Honor) ET DE L'ORDE DU MERE MRE DE POLOGNE." 50.5mm. France, 1820. Pierre Dautancourt (1771-1832), baron d'Empire and general, he took part in the Spanish campaign, fought then at Essling and Wagram, Russian campaign, Leipzig, general in 1813, distinguished himself at Clichy and Montmartre in 1814 at the head of the cavalry brigade of the Guard.
