Conseil des Anciens, group of two silver identity medals : - One of the type of the year V by Gatteaux, it takes the elegant octagonal model of the Conseil des Cinq-Cents, except on the reverse side which bears the legend "CONSEIL DES ANCIENS", it is engraved in italic "C. larmagnac", surmounted by a transverse ornamental hoop. 44 mm - One of the type of the year VI, 1st Prairial by Gatteaux, it also takes again the circular model of the Council of the Five Hundred, with the exception of the reverse which carries the legend "CONSEIL DES ANCIENS", it is engraved with the exergue in italic "C. Larmagnac", trace of the bélière (scratches and small shocks on the edge). 50 mm France, late 18th century. Claude Larmagnac (1740-1820), magistrate, deputy of Saône-et-Loire to the Council of Ancients, rallied to the coup d'état of 18 Brumaire, president of the General Council of Saône-et-Loire from 1800 to 1804, then deputy to the Legislative Body from 1804 to 1809.
