France, late 19th century. TTB Pierre Bardou-Job (1826-1892), famous industrialist from Perpignan, he developed the cigarette paper brand JOB founded by his father Jean Bardou. Very avant-garde, he developed the marketing of his brand by calling on the great illustrators of his time. A builder, he had a castle built for each of his children. A great collector and... lover of decorations, he belonged to a multitude of associations and rescue societies, awarding medals which he made a great deal of use of, even going so far as to have precious cases made for them.
