White marble and gilt bronze clock with rotating circles, the movement and dials with Roman and Arabic numerals set on an entablature with palm-tree, drapery and bell posts, resting on columns surrounding a porcelain cookie figure, the removable cover surmounted by a Chinese seated under a parasol. Louis XVI period. H : 53 cm, D : 21 cm A very similar clock, signed by Festeau in Paris, is illustrated in P. Kjellberg, Encyclopédie de la pendule française, Paris, 1997, p.293.
