Preface by Albert Thibaudet and illustrations by Jules Chadel, wood-engraved with the assistance of Germaine de Coster and printed according to Japanese methods by Yashijiro Urushibara. A total of 74 illustrations, including the frontispiece and title, and 72 in the text, including 4 full-page illustrations. The book also contains a 2-leaf facsimile. Edition of 121 copies on Japon, this one nominative printed for André Hachette (no. 49), here enriched with a large original wash. A fine copy bound by Gruel.
