Edition decorated with a portrait of Molière, engraved by Cathelin after Mignard, 6 title finials and 33 figures by Moreau le jeune, engraved by Baquoy, de Launay, Duclos, De Ghendt, etc. A copy of the first printing, with pages 66/67 and 80/81 duplicated in volume I, fine proofs of L'Avare and Le Misanthrope, and the Sicilian's signature very clearly visible. The series consists of 6 volumes bound here in 7 volumes, volumes V and VI having been bound in three volumes due to their large number of pages. Binding damaged with missing headpieces and 4 damaged hinges, tear to one leaf.
