ALMANACH IMPERIAL. Paris, Testu, 1808. In-8, long-grained red morocco, smooth spine cloisonné and decorated with gilt motifs including an imperial eagle and an insignia of the Légion d'honneur, gilt palmettes framing the boards with gilt "D" monogram crowned with flowers and underlined by laurel branches, filleted edges, inner gilt roulette, gilt edges (period binding). 880 pp. with pp. 689 to 704 bound out of order, spine and head slightly rubbed, corners dull. Woodcut imperial coat-of-arms on title. Provenance: the Parisian stationer F. B. Pochard, who practiced in the late 18th and early 19th centuries (bookplate), and the Parisian bookseller Auguste Aubry (1821-1878, bookplate).
