Hérédon, s.n., l'an de la G L 5801 [1801, sic for 1803]. 5 fascicles bound in 2 volumes, one in brown bradel boards with gilt title on first board within a gilt triangle, brown title-pieces added later on spine (period binding), the other in bradel boards imitation parchment with brown title-pieces on spine (modern binding). 1: 51-(one blank) pp. 2: 24 pp. - 3: 15-(one blank) pp. including general title. - 4: pp. 3 to 16; missing general title leaf counting as pp. 1 and 2. - 5: pp. 3 to 10; general title leaf missing, counting pp. 1 and 2. - Volume of the Venerable's notebooks with extensive dampening; binding of the volume of the Second Supervisor's notebooks a little rubbed with worn cuffs and corners. Tuileur written at the Chambre des Grades du Grand Orient, by a group of officers under the direction of Alexandre Henri Nicolas Roëttiers de Montaleau, 1783-1784, officially adopted in 1785. hand-written, fee-paying distribution by the Grand Orient printed in in-4 format in December 1803, but with the date 1801 (probably that of the manuscript used as a model), an indelicacy condemned by the Grand Orient 2 CAHIERS DESTINES AU VENERABLE, for the grades of Apprentice and Companion (with pen strokes added in the margins to make it easier to locate requests from the Venerable), and 3 CAHIERS DESTINES AU SECOND SURVEILLANT, for the grades of Apprentice, Companion and Master. A MILESTONE IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE "FRENCH RITE".
