CODE MAÇONNIQUE DES LOGES REUNIES ET RECTIFIEES DE FRANCE. Tel qu'il a été approuvé par les députés des directoires de France au Convent national de Lyon en 5778 [1778]. S.l.n.n., 5779 [1779]. Illustrated with woodcuts in the text, some with Masonic motifs. AUTOGRAPHIC SENTENCE SIGNED BY FREDERIC-RODOLPHE SALTZMANN AS CHANCELLOR OF THE DIRECTOIRE ÉCOSSAIS DE BOURGOGNE SEANT A STRASBOURG (with wax seal under paper of this Directory): "Expédié à l'usage de la Loge réunie & rectifiée de Ferdinand aux Neuf Étoiles, à l'Orient de Strasbourg...". An active Freemason who adhered to the Strict Templar Observance, he took part in the Convents of Lyon in 1778 and Wilhelsmbad in 1782. - 2. "STATUTS PARTICULIERS DE LA [LOGE] DE FERDINAND AUX 9 ÉTOILES". Manuscript text dated February 21, 1781. SIGNED BY JEAN-JACQUES FRANÇOIS THEODOSE LE BARBIER DE TINAN, CHANCELIER DU DIRECTOIRE ÉCOSSAIS DE BOURGOGNE, BY THE 13 MEMBERS OF THE LODGE, including the Venerable François-Chrétien de Durckheim, or Henry de Nassau-Sarrebruck, or the ironmaster and mineralogist Philippe-Frédéric de DIETRICH, AND BY 13 ASSOCIES LIBRES, including the Marquis François-Anne de Chefdebien d'Armissan, the physician and chemist August-Christian von Reuss, Friedrich von Metternich, and others. The Ferdinand aux Neuf Étoiles Lodge, founded in 1781, merged with the Count of Cagliostro's Iris Lodge in 1783, and was absorbed by the La Candeur Lodge in Strasbourg in 1785.
