LODGE LA FRANÇAISE DE BORDEAUX. - Signed by several members of the Lodge, including the venerable Joseph de Gombault de Razac, chevalier d'honneur au Parlement de Bordeaux. Bordeaux, June 30, 1776. One p. large oblong in-folio on copper-engraved parchment illustrated with a large composition, with handwritten additions, wax seal and inked seal of the Lodge. Certificate of Lodge membership issued to Brother Gilbert-Alexis Astier. One of the oldest Lodges in France, La Française was founded in 1740, and changed its name several times: Française Élue Écossaise, as shown here, then Françaises and Neuf Soeurs Réunies.
