MARSEILLE Earthenware plate decorated in... - Lot 61 - Pescheteau-Badin
MARSEILLE Earthenware plate decorated in blue, green, yellow and red with a Chinese man under a parasol in a lake landscape, bird, fox and butterfly. Manufacture of Leroy. 18th century. D. 23,1 cm. A chip. It was exhibited at the Faïence de Marseille exhibition in 1957 in Aix-en-Provence. Sale Paris, Hôtel Drouot, Etude Millon, November 26, 2007, lot 334. Christophe Perlès compares this plate with two others, one from the former Samson collection and the other presented by him, specifying that they are part of a small set of which each model seems unique (Christophe Perlès, n° 10, 2009, cat. 14, pp. 28-29).
