MARSEILLE Pair of earthenware bottle buckets with two handles in the shape of branches, with polychrome decoration said to the Saxony of couples in landscapes underlined by branches flowered in gold. Manufacture of Robert. 18th century. H. 18 cm, L. 24 cm. One with a piece glued back on the rim, a shock and small chips, the other with restoration to the pedestal, a small chip restored on the rim and a small crack on the upper edge. A bucket with similar decoration is kept in the museum of Marseille and reproduced by Danielle Maternati-Baldouy, Faïence et Porcelaine de Marseille, XVIIe XVIIIe siècles, 1997, n° 335, p. 246
