SÈVRES A soft porcelain soup plate with polychrome decoration in the center of attributes and on the wing of garlands of flowers and blue and gold combs. Marked : LL interlaced, letter-date V for 1774, marks of painters Charles Buteux and François Barrat and gilder François Drand. 18th century, 1774. D. 24 cm. Provenance: This plate comes from the Attribute and Garlands service delivered on June 23, 1774 to Milord Findlater, James Ogilvy, Earl of Findlater. This service originally consisted of 24 soup plates, a large part of the service was sold at Christie's in London on July 14, 1958 consisting of 22 soup plates. These 22 plates are now kept at Hinton Ampner. See D. Peters, Sèvres Plates and Services of the 18th century, 2015, vol. II, no. 74-3, pp. 519, 520.
