MARSEILLE Fountain of earthenware of baluster form provided with side catches in the shape of dolphins, with polychrome decoration of bunches of flowers and butterflies and decoration in relief of rocaille scrolls and shell heightened of combed crimson, the spillway in metal in the shape of dolphins. Marked: VP in purple. Manufacture of the Widow Perrin. 18th century. H. 39,2 cm, L. 42,2 cm. Lid redone, restorations at the back. Appeared in the exhibition Un collectionneur et mécène marseillais, Faïences provençales et céramiques ottomanes, Marseille, November 2006-March 2007, catalog by Danielle Maternaty-Baldouy, n° 52, p. 86-87.
