MARSEILLE Plate with contoured edge in earthenware with decoration in green monks in a landscape contained in a circular medallion, the wing decorated with foliage scrolls and garlands in gold. Manufacture of Gaspard Robert. 18th century. D. 25 cm. A restored chip Provenance : Former Demachy collection. It was exhibited at the commemorative exhibition of Provencal faience of the 17th and 19th centuries at the Galerie des Ponchettes in Nice in 1968-1969, n° 208. Has appeared in the exhibition Un collectionneur et mécène marseillais, Faïences provençales et céramiques ottomanes, Marseille, November 2006-March 2007, catalog by Danielle Maternaty-Baldouy, n° 108, p. 154.
