Rouen Earthenware plate decorated in the center with a poly-lobed rosette on a niello ochre background decorated with petals on a black squared background and surrounded by flowers in blue monochrome, the wing decorated with a braid on a niello ochre background with foliage scrolls and black trellis reserves, simulated godrons in blue monochrome on the edge. 18th century, circa 1725. D. 24 cm. Small chips. Appears in the Retrospective Exhibition of French Faience, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, 1932, n°483. Provenance : former Boucheron collection, Sotheby's sale, Paris, June 18, 2008, lot 531.
