Pierre GERMAIN (1703-1783) Elements of goldsmithery divided into two parts of fifty leaves each, composed by Pierre Germain, goldsmith merchant jeweler. In Paris : at the author's, place du carrousel at the goldsmith's of the King and at the Widow de Cherau, rue Saint Jacques au piliers d'or, 1748 Two volumes, bound in gold embossed tan morocco, spine ribbed (Wear, tears) Pierre Germain, goldsmith, wished by this work, "to engage the youth to form principles on various kinds of goldsmithery and on the diversity of the contours" and "to facilitate to the pupils the means to succeed". It was used by the House of Boin-Taburet as a source of inspiration in the creation of their models.
