MEISSEN Porcelain statuette representing a magic lantern showman of the series series, standing on a terrace with rocaille ornaments in light relief underlined of gold, carrying on the back a magic lantern and on the shoulder a rectangular box He is dressed in a brown vest and yellow pants. Marked: crossed swords in blue. Model by Peter Reinicke. 18th century, circa 1755-60 H. 13 cm. Chips. This model is based on a drawing by Christophe Huet of 1753 reproduced by M. Eberle, Cris de Paris-Meissener Porzellanfiguren des 18.Jahrhunderts, 2001, n° 48.
