CHANTILLY Pair of onion vases in soft porcelain with tan enamel with ribs in relief, with polychrome decoration in the Kakiemon style on one side of prunus and rocks and on the on the reverse side of knotted flowers, the neck decorated with flowering branches on a black sandy background. 18th century, circa 1730-1740. H. 19 cm. Chips on the collars, gilt metal banding on the collars. A pair of similar vases is preserved at the Musée Condé in Chantilly and reproduced by Geneviève Le Duc, Porcelaine tendre de Chantilly au XVIIIe siècle, 1996, p. 112.
