Eighteenth-century MANUSCRIT. Loisir S.l.n.d (second half of the 18th century). In-4, green vellum, smooth mute spine, traces of silk cords (contemporary binding). An amusing collection of notes, riddles, charades, logogryphs, rhymes, bon mots and songs, no doubt intended to brighten up the long winter evenings. A total of 149 handwritten leaves, including a title, a warning leaf and 147 leaves written on both sides in brown ink. An 8-leaf table helps to locate passages. Finally, 31 leaves have been left blank. Soiled vellum with the beginnings of splits at the hinges. Another 19th-century MANUSCRIT is attached: Pensées diverses. S.l.n.d. (first half of the 19th century). Brown ink on paper, each page within a handsome framed frieze in black ink outlined with fillets of red paint (green paint for the first page). 256 pages bound in an in-32 volume, contemporary ivory half vellum. Anonymous compilation of maxims, sayings and proverbs, both popular and from various authors of the second half of the 18th century. Three unidentified stamps.
