Sèvres Oval soft-paste porcelain compotier with polychrome decoration of birds on terraces and bouquets of flowers in four reserves surrounded by gold palms and garlands of flowers on a celestial blue ground. Marked: LL interlaced, letter-date U for 1773, mark of painter Evans and gilders Leguay and Vandé. 18th century, 1773. L. 26.5 cm. Restored fracture. This compotier may come from the celestial blue service delivered on April 12, 1775 to "Mr. Legrand for the Marquis Diranda", Count of Aranda, Spanish ambassador to France.
