Sèvres Hard porcelain oval dish with polychrome decoration named souvenir blue festoons, formed by a garland of flowers around a gold rosette on a blue background medallion, the wing decorated with flowers between blue and gold background braids. Unmarked 18th century, circa 1791-1792. L. 33.5 cm. Gold wear This dish is part of a service whose decoration is called festons bleu souvenirs. Two services with this decoration were sold by the Manufacture, one purchased in December 1791 by a Monsieur Verdier, the other by Madame Lefébure, marchand-mercier, in June 1792 (see David Peters, op. cit., 2015, vol. IV, n° 91-9 and 92-12, pp. 985, 86).
