Rectangular openwork ivory box carved with latticework and decorated with two flamed hearts. 19th century 2 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm Weight : 14g This rectangular box is made from the ivory of today's Proboscideans, and more specifically Elephantidae. In fact, the parameters for recognizing Elephantidae ivory are clearly visible in the form of the guilloches typical of this family. The original appearance of the raw ivory material has been modified by cutting and polishing. A beautiful antique patina characterizes this ivory.
