Salt flask in yellow, white and ochre filigree... - Lot 110 - Pescheteau-Badin
Salt flask in yellow, white and ochre filigree glass, with carved ivory stopper decorated with foliage. 19th century Length : 10 cm The stopper of this salt flask is made from the ivory of a modern-day Proboscidian, and more specifically of Elephantidae. Chasing, sculpting and polishing have been carried out to modify the original appearance of the raw ivory material. A beautiful antique patina characterizes this ivory.
