Porcelain and gilt bronze torch representing a winged child holding a wick on a tray. (accident and restoration to the base). Late 18th century. H : 24,5 cm A number of rare, comparable torches combine the enamel technique with that of gilded bronze and patinated bronze. Of particular note is a pair of torches, the bobèches with raised enamels, sold at Sotheby's in Paris on December 11, 1999, lot 139.
