Brunet, II-1215 // Cohen, 384 /// i. (3f.)-309 / ii. (2f.)-297-(1f.). Superb edition with title-frontispiece engraved by Montulay, 72 hors-texte plates engraved by Tilliard after Monnet, and 24 full-page plates with culs-de-lampe containing chapter summaries framed alongside the figures. A very fine copy in contemporary red morocco. Binding very skilfully rebacked in places. 3 plates browned in the first volume and marginal angular wetness on several leaves of the second volume.
