The finest illustrated edition of Notre-Dame de Paris, containing 55 hors-texte plates after Beaumont, Boulanger, Daubigny, Johannot, Meissonnier, Steinheil, de Lemud, Rocqueplan and de Rudder, including 21 steel engravings and 34 woodcuts, and numerous woodcut vignettes in the text. A second edition copy, with the bat vignette on the title. A fine copy, despite a marginal restoration at the foot of a plate and a text leaf.
