First edition illustrated with 64 original etchings in the text by Charles Jouas, including 16 full-page etchings, 16 in the text with historiated lettering and 32 in the text. Edition of 250 copies, this one of 30 on Japon or vélin, here on Japon, containing the etchings in 3 states, including the first state and an intermediate state with remarks and the final state. A very fine copy with 2 signed original drawings, one in watercolor, the other in colored pencil, and an additional etching. One of the volumes has been partially and skilfully reintinted.
