Earthenware plate with contoured rim featuring a pre-Revolutionary polychrome "aux drapeaux" (flags) design: in the center a shield crowned with a flower, crossed with flags at half-mast, fifes, drums and cannonballs.
This design is an evolution of the pre-Revolutionary "flag" design.
Late 18th century, pre-Revolutionary period.
