CHINA Three porcelain plates with polychrome decoration in famille rose enamels of the English coat of arms of the MILLS of Harscomb (Gloucestershire) and Clapham (Surrey) in the center with a view of Fort Saint George and on the wing with views of Plymouth Sound and Whampoa in two reserves. 18th century, Qianlong period (1735-1796). The Fort de Saint-Georges (also known as White Town) in Madras, India, now Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu, was the first to be built in India by the British East India Company in 1644. It was named after the patron saint of the British. This lot is a temporary import. The buyer will be required to pay import charges of 5.5% (6.6% incl.
