A soft-paste porcelain luncheon set comprising an oval tray with contoured rim, a Calabre teapot, a covered Bouret sugar pot, a Bouillard goblet and saucer and a three-legged milk jug, polychrome-decorated with garlands of flowers held in place by gold rings, the rims decorated with carmine and gold fillets and a blue sandblasted braid.
Marked: LL interlaced, letter-date R for 1770, painter's mark Jean-Louis Thévenet.
18th century, 1770.
Tray length: 28 cm x 23 cm.
The teapot lid is a later replacement in hard porcelain, the teapot lid grip glued back, a small chip at the end of the teapot spout, a small chip on the rim of the sugar pot lid.
