Sèvres - Lot 156
Sèvres Bisque group with two figures: Music. Marked: Sèvres stamp, o.g. for Jean-Jacques Oger sculpteur, A.B. for Alexandre Brongniart administrateur, 31 Mr 9 for 31 mars 1809. Empire period, 1809. H. 46 cm Missing musical instruments, one broken arm and missing fingers. Two La Musique groups entered the sales store in 1809, one delivered to the Château de Compiègne in April 1809. A pair of these Empire-period groups dated 1813 are preserved in the English Royal Collections under the numbers RCIN 33937 and RCIN 33938.
