Peyre porcelain vase decorated in purple, green and pink monochrome with two shepherds in a landscape in front of Gothic ruins framed by trees, gold foliage friezes on the rims, the baluster foot underlined by friezes of pearls, palmettes and gilded fillets.
Signed, P. Langlois.
Marked: green stamp S48 and red stamp N couronné 64.

Our bowl is one of six entered for sale in January 1865 (Vv7 fol 32-28). Four were donated to the Donations and Relief Department in May 1865, described with a cameo landscape (Vbb 12 fol 83) and the other two also to the Donations and Relief Department in May 1866 (Vbb12 fol 90).
