Round earthenware dish with blue, yellow and green decoration in the center of a man with an Indian headdress leaning against a cane and holding a pipe and a young woman raising her arms, a butterfly in flight above them, below the letters N.T.R., the rim decorated with foliage scrolls, ironwork and trellis motifs on a blue background.
Manufactured by Guillaume Heugue.
The letters N.T.R. may refer to the painter Nicolas Tureau.
18th century, circa 1735.
D. 35 cm.
Two very small chips on the reverse.
