ETABLISSEMENTS GALLÉ (1904 - 1936) Large vase with ovoid body and flared conical neck. Proof in blue, green, violet and brown multi-layered glass on a yellow-orange ground. Acid-etched cameo of a mountain lakescape (small firing bubbles burst in the decoration and tiny chips). Signed in the decoration and bearing a retailer's label on the reverse: "Objets artistiques R. Marguery Bordeaux". Height 55.5 cm History: this type of signature is found on pieces made between 1925 and 1936. Bibliography: Alastair Duncan & Georges de Bartha, Glass by Gallé, Harry N.
