Gustave VIOLET (1873 - 1952)
"Bacchantes", model created circa 1905-1914. Brown patinated terra cotta vase with ovoid body and flared neck on annular heel. Decorated in semi-relief with a frieze of nymphs chasing each other through stylized trees at the top (tiny chips at the heel).
Stamped on the tree and marked Sant-Marti on the inside of the neck.
Height 48 cm
