"Faunesse".
Terracotta subject with ochre patina and relief decoration (small chips, restorations to the head).
Signed and stamped with a spider.
Height: 10.5 cm
History: this may be the model presented by Joé Descomps under the title "Faunesse assise" at the exhibition of Grès, Faïences, Terres Cuites et leurs Applications at the Palais Galliera in Paris in 1911. Gustave Violet himself presented several works at this exhibition.
