PARIS or LIMOGES - Lot 630
PARIS or LIMOGES Porcelain baluster-shaped vase with gold-ground handle in the form of leafy rushes, with polychrome decoration on one side of three birds on a shrub and grisaille decoration on the reverse of a lively landscape, the rims richly decorated in gold with foliage. Marked: Müller in gold Late 18th century, early 19th century. H.: 34 cm. Chavagnac and Grollier report a Müller, decorator in Paris, working on whites from the Baignol factory in Limoges in the late 18th/early 19th century.
