SOURDEVAL in Paris CIRCA 1730 Onion watch in silver (800 thousandths) with striking. Case: round, domed, with engraved, chased and pierced decoration, the center adorned with a military scene in relief on an amatized ground, double ground for resonance, later winding, Hanau silver hallmark, German work. Dial: white enamel, painted Roman numeral hour markers, domed 'cartouche', Arabic numeral and railway track minute track, silver disc in center for alarm setting, blued steel hand. Single hand reading. Movement: gilt brass, chased and pierced cock, verge escapement, chains and spindle, pilasters, setting disk, signed on the plate. (Operation not guaranteed). Diameter: 59 mm.
