Théodore Agrippa d'AUBIGNÉ. Les Avantures du baron de Foeneste... Amsterdam (Paris, Jacques Guérin), 1731 ; Cologne, heirs of Pierre Marteau (Bruxelles, Foppens), 1729. 2 volumes in-12, blond calf, 5-rib spine decorated with repeated arms (period binding).

Composite copy consisting of the first volume of Jacques Guérin's edition published in 1731 and the second volume of Foppens' edition dated 1729. The Guérin edition was based on the Foppens edition, which was the first to include notes by Le Duchat. A frontispiece engraved by Rigaud.
A copy bound in the period, bearing on the spine the alternating arms of Charles de Rohan, Prince de Soubise.
Bookplate of Robert Samuel Turner and autograph annotation attributable to Jules Clarétie (?).
