Brunet, III-845 / Tchemerzine-Scheler, IV-48 /// (12f.)-XXXV-196. New edition, partly original, with 25 new maxims and variants for other maxims. The Preliminary Discourse, sometimes attributed to Segrais, which had been omitted from previous editions, has been reinstated in this edition, but with numerous stylistic changes and the deletion of a few passages. Some minor rubbing to covers and spines.
