Copy without any of the portraits announced in the title, but only an unsigned engraved frontispiece. This copy bears the coat of arms of Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, duchesse-marquise de Pompadour. The work is listed in the Catalogue des livres de la bibliothèque de feue Madame la marquise de Pompadour, Dame du Palais de la Reine, drawn up by Hérissant in 1765 (no. 2566). The copy also bears the handwritten bookplate on the title of Stéphane Bouleau, as well as that of Charles de Foucault in red ink on a flyleaf with this annotation: Exemplaire de la bibl. de Mme de Pompadour. One hinge cracked.
