Carteret, 345 / Legrand, 195 / Vicaire, IV-732 /// (3f.)-XXXII-440. First edition and first printing of Gustave Doré's illustrations, including a frontispiece and 72 in the text, all woodcut, and 21 out-of-text topographical maps in color by E. Desbuissons, one of which is folding. A fine copy, despite a roughly restored tear (p. 289) and a clean tear to the fold-out map.
