Fournier, 1839. 2 volumes in-8, amethyst glazed half-calf with corners, cold embossed paper boards with branches on a riddled background, smooth spines decorated throughout with rocaille irons with monkey (Period binding). Vicaire, IV-900 /// I. (2f.)-XXVIII-292 / II. (2f.)-312. Withdrawal of the 1838 edition illustrated by Grandville. In all, a frontispiece, 120 plates hors texte and 14 faux-titres in the text, wood-engraved by Brevière, Hebert, Godard... A fine, well-bound copy. Repairs to 2 leaves.
