Original edition decorated with 56 woodcut vignettes, including 46 hors texte and 10 in the text by Marville and Foussereau, and 4 folding maps.
Binding color unevenly faded; one leaf shorter in lateral margin, faint stains to 2 leaves.
Attached: Charles NODIER. Histoire du roi de Bohême et de ses sept châteaux. Paris, Delangle, 1830. In-8, camel calf, gilt fillet in frame, spine with 4 ornate nerves, interior roulette (Lebrun). Barbier, II-790 / Carteret, 430 / Lh., 454 / Vicaire, VI-107 /// (2f.)-398. First edition with 50 woodcut vignettes by Tony Johannot in the text, in the first printing. Lebrun, who worked for Simier for many years, established himself in Paris around 1830 and practiced until 1857. A stain on the spine and rubbed hinges, uniformly browned leaves and a few freckles, more pronounced at the beginning of the volume.
