Large in-4, leaves, folder and slipcase. Monod, II-9403 /// 187-(3f.). Text by Rabelais revised by Abel Lefranc. Edition decorated with 128 original colored woodcuts by André Derain, including a frontispiece, a title vignette and 126 in the text, 21 of them full-page, as well as 51 monochrome woodcut ornaments (lettrines and culs-de-lampe). Limited edition of 275 copies on Arches vellum, this being one of 35 containing a color suite on Madagascar (no. 42).
