ARMILLAIR SPHERE in wood, cardboard, glued and printed paper, based on the Copernican heliocentric system, with a gilded ball in the center representing the Sun, the Earth in orbit, and circles indicating the months, signs of the zodiac and equinoxes, all resting on a turned and blackened wooden base. Work in the Desnos or Delamarche style, late 18th-early 19th century. H. 51.5 cm; Diam. 31.5 cm. Worn and missing.
