Marieberg (Sweden) - Lot 30
Marieberg (Sweden) Earthenware glass bucket with contoured rim, the side handles formed by satyr heads in relief, with polychrome decoration of flowers and the coat of arms on both sides of Louis-Charles-Auguste Le Tonnelier Baron de Breteuil, gold fillet on the rim and base. Marked: three crowns / MB M / fvb IV V in blue. 18th century, circa 1768. H. 8.5 cm - D. 11 cm Minor chips. As French ambassador to Stockholm, Baron de Breteuil (March 7, 1730 - November 2, 1807) received an earthenware service decorated with his coat of arms as a gift from the Marieberg factory in 1768.
