SABRE DE CUIRASSIER MODELE AN IX, pour la troupe, the brass mounting, the four-pronged guard, three with fleurons, marked with the hallmark of Director Levavasseur, the short-tailed cap, the wooden handle covered with basane and twisted filigree, the straight single-edged lath-type blade marked with the hallmark of Inspector Mouton, the flat back engraved 'M/fture Na/le de Klingenthal Coulaux Frères Entrep/rs' ; with braided leather strap. Manufacture Nationale de Klingenthal, Consulate period, circa 1800. Total length: 112 cm. Wear, restorations, no scabbard, later strap.
