LOURDE CAVALERIE OFFICER'S SABRE, brass mount with battle hilt of one main branch and four secondary branches, decorated with an openwork shell, grooved counterguard, curved quillon, short-tailed cap, the basane-covered wooden handle with double twisted filigree, the straight blade with hollow sides engraved on one side 'Ne me tirez pas sans raison' and on the other 'Ne me remettez pas sans honneur', the flat back signed 'Frères Weyersberg à Solingen'.K Probably 19th century. Blade length: 93 cm. Total length: 110 cm. Wear, handle probably restored, blade pitted, without scabbard.
